The Employer 1st Screening
The Employer ’s First private Screening
We are pleased to announce the 1st Screening for The Employer will be held on March 6th, 2012. The select screening and red carpet will feature the entire cast, as well as film composer Jonathan Hartman. The premiere will be held at the Regent Theater in West Hollywood. It’s going to be a wonderful opportunity to finally meet everyone involved in the production, as well as see the film on the big screen for the 1st time.
Look for a wide distribution later in 2012!
Charles Rogers & Autumn Whispers

I worked with Charles last year on his wonderful short film, “Oysters Rockefeller”, which starred Susan Jeffries and Hale Appleman.
Charles’s has a hilarious new short film called “Autumn Whispers”. Currently in post-production, “Autumn Whispers” features a tyrannical child film director and the unfortunate actors that have been forced to work for him.
I’ll be scoring Autumn Whispers with Charles in March. Always a fun time on his films!
“The Employer” Completed
We are proud to announce that Jonathan Hartman recently completed scoring the feature film “The Employer”.
Written and directed by Frank Merle for Hyrax Entertainment, the film stars Malcolm McDowell, Paige Howard, David Dastmalchian, Michael De Lorenzo, and features Billy Zane. The psychological thriller is about a group of 5 abducted strangers who find themselves mysteriously locked in a room together, pawns in Malcolm McDowell’s game to find the next corporate team member.
Jonathan composed 75 minutes of original score for “The Employer”, which featured a lush hybrid sound of orchestral strings and electronics. Hyrax Entertainment will release a soundtrack album to coincide with the release of the film in 2012. Select samples will be available on this site soon.
The Employer
I am pleased to announce that I am currently scoring “The Employer”, a new feature film by Director Frank Merle. ”The Employer” stars Malcolm McDowell, Paige Howard, and David Dastmalchian. It also features Michael DeLorenzo and Billy Zane. It is being produced by Hyrax Entertainment and will be released in 2012.
“The Employer” is an amazing psychological thriller, as five people try to solve the mystery that connects them, while being challenged by the incomparable Malcolm McDowell. It’s a film with great characters and a lot of twists. It’s been a real pleasure working with director Frank Merle and adding my musical talents to the mystery at the heart of this story!
Look for it in 2012!
Oysters Rockefeller
I just recently completed scoring the short film “Oysters Rockefeller” by Charles Rogers.
It’s an amazing, fun, and quirky film- look for it at Sundance 2012!
Oysters is the story of Gibbon Pearl, a young man who’s never seen the outside world. Then everything changes when he meets Lucy….
